BIOGRAPHY

Annie Bea is a sultry blues singer hailing from West London. Inspired by a selection box of artists, her love of music started at a very early age when she discovered a Billie Holiday cassette at the back of her Grandma’s cupboard.  Having tinkered with a few instruments, she finally found her voice years later, meeting Gary Stonadge (B.A.D, Rotten Hill Gang) and George Vjestica (Nick Cave + The Bad Seeds, Groove Armada). She started writing, recording and hit the live music scene around Portobello Road.

Since, she has toured with and featured in bands (Fjokra, Rotten Hill Gang, Hypnotic Eye), collaborated with various producers, written and recorded for film and T.V and produced/directed her own music videos.

Setting up her own blues collective working simply under the name ‘Annie Bea’, she curates shows with a lineup spanning from duet to eight-piece and has travelled the globe in its varying forms; entertaining the likes of Ennio Morricone and Quentin Tarantino at a run of shows at the Elyx Mansion in L.A, the elite at wild Halloween Balls in the Nomad NYC, enjoying a six-year annual residency in New Orleans where she honed that raw bluesy sound, pushing the weird, wild and wonderful in shows and festivals for The Great Brain Robbery, running Jazz nights in Ronnie’s bar above Ronnie Scott’s, entertaining the masses at Notting Hill Carnival and playing intimate shows in speakeasies across London town..
